About The STA Swimming Teacher Qualification
The STA swim teacher course comprises of e-learning, zoom sessions and practical sessions. Everything you need to be a fully qualified swim teacher.
Developed in line with CIMSPA’s updated Swimming Teacher Professional Standard, it equips you with all the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to teach the full learn-to-swim pathway appropriate to the participant’s needs across all ability groups.
What Will You Learn?
The enhanced curriculum blends technical foundations with practical, hands-on teaching experience, covering:
Core swimming strokes and stroke development Essential swimming skills and water confidence.
- Survival and rescue techniques

- Be at least 16 years of age.
Learners must have all pre-requisites in place before the start of the course. Qualification certificates cannot be issued if all pre-requisites are not met before the start of the course, post course submissions will not be accepted.
